NEW PALTZ, NY — New Paltz senior, Kerri Kelty (Valley Stream) has been selected as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women’s Soccer Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 24. She was also tabbed the Division III Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate Offensive Player of the week as she led the Hawks to a 2-0 conference weekend with wins against Oswego and Cortland. Kelty tallied two goals, two assists in the 4-0 win over Oswego on Friday. With nine minutes left in regulation against Cortland, Kelty tied the game on an unassisted goal to force overtime, where the Hawks won 2-1. It was the first ever win for New Paltz against Cortland in 23 tries.
