CENTERVILLE, MA — The SUNY New Paltz baseball team was selected by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) to be one of four teams to compete in this year’s Baseball Championship Tournament. Also participating in this year’s competition will be Oneonta, St. John Fisher, and the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
SUNY New Paltz (20-20) will enter the tournament as the number four seed and will take on, top-seeded, Oneonta (30-10). The game is scheduled for at 2:00 pm start on Friday, May 19 at Oneonta. RIT (22-16) will host St. John Fisher (26-14) in the other opening round contest. The winners will meet in the ECAC Championship Game at the site of the higher seed on Saturday, May 20.
