NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz softball team would like to announce the Winter Softball Clinic. The dates for the clinics are January 22, January 29, and February 5, 2006 on the campus of SUNY New Paltz. The clinic is open to girl’s ages 6-17; all campers will be broken into skill level. The clinic will provide you with the opportunity to learn new skills while polishing old ones. The current SUNY New Paltz coaching staff and players will give instructions and demonstrations.
The Camp will feature the fundamentals necessary to help ballplayers take their game to the next level. Topics will include hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, base running, and strength/conditioning. Not only will players better their mechanics, they will better their confidence levels. The older players will receive a mental training session, as well as, work on the visual aspect of hitting.
Schedule as follows: 9:00 – 9:30am Registration 9:30 – 12:00pm Offensive Session 12:00 – 12:45pm Lunch 12:45 – 2:45pm Defensive Session Pitchers and Catchers 2:45 – 3:00 pm Closing
Clinic Fee: $70.00 for one clinic $150.00 for all three
