NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Department of Athletics and the men’s and women’s basketball programs will sponsor Friday Night Basketball for boys and girls on Friday’s during the months of September and October.
The program will run on September 2 through October 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Elting Gymnasium on the campus of SUNY New Paltz. It is designed to provide kids with an opportunity to play and learn the game of basketball in a relaxed enviornment.
Members of the SUNY New Paltz men’s and women’s basketball program will be on hand to help the children with dribbling and shooting skills. There will also be an opportunity to participate in informal games.
The program is open to boys and girls in grades one through eight. There is a $10 fee for the two-hour session. A discounted rate is available for families with more than one child participating.
Participants may attend any number of sessions over the duration of the schedule. No registration is needed, all are welcome. Sign in and payment will be taken at the beginning of each session.
