NEW PALTZ, NY — The post-season honors continued this afternoon for SUNY New Paltz sophomore third baseman/pitcher John DeKams (Kings Park, NY) who was named to Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Divsion III Upstate All-Star Team.
DeKams batted .397 with 52 hits, 10 doubles and 25 runs batted in this spring. On the mound, he was 2-1 with a 4.14 earned run average. He worked 41.1 innings and allowed 42 hits, 19 earned runs, walked 12 and struck out 35.
Earlier this spring, DeKams earned First Team All-SUNYAC honors and was a New York region Division III ABCA/Rawlings Third Team All-Star.
