HOLLAND, MI — SUNY New Paltz junior Joanna Masterson (Canandaigua, NY — Canandaigua Academy) competed in the 200-yard freestyle on the second day of the NCAA Division III Women’s Swimming & Diving Championship at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
In this morning’s preliminary round, Masterson finished 20th with a time of 1:57.39. Masterson did not qualify for this evening’s finals that will feature the top 16 finishers from today’s preliminary round. A total of 32 swimmers competed in the 200-yard freestyle.
Masterson has one more event remaining at the NCAA Division III Women’s National Championship. She will swim in the preliminary round of the 100-yard freestyle tomorrow morning. A finish among the top-16 will earn her a spot in the finals tomorrow evening.
