FULLERTON, CA — Senior Chris Ganje (Halfmoon, NY) had a match-high 14 kills to lead the SUNY New Paltz men’s volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Hope International this afternoon.
The Hawks committed just three errors and hit .467 in an opening game 30-21 victory. SUNY New Paltz went on to win the next two games, 30-24 and 30-10 to earn its first win of 2005.
Junior Ryan Bullard (Smithtown, NY) registered nine kills and hit .467 for the match. As a team, SUNY New Paltz had 44 kills and 13 errors for a .356 hitting percentage.
Senior Mike LaRocco (Hauppauge, NY) finished with nine digs. Senior Jason Karpf (Lake Ronkonkoma, NY) added 24 assists and four digs.
