Three Hawks Named to All-SUNYAC Men’s Soccer Team

NEW PALTZ, NY — After winning six of its nine conference games and finishing in third place in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC), the SUNY New Paltz men’s soccer team placed three of its members on the all-league team.

Sophomore Greg Foss (Queensbury, NY) was named to the second team in his first season as a member of the program. Foss started 21 games at forward and led the Hawks in goals (12), assists (6) and points (30). He also had a team-best, six game-winning goals to help key the Hawks to victories in 12 of its last 17 contests.

Sophomore Joe Fabian (Selden, NY) was a second team selection as well. Fabian started 21 games at forward and was fourth on the team in scoring with 13 points (4 goals, 5 assists).

Senior Michael Dodge (Ridge, NY) was named to the second team and earned all-league recognition for the first time in his career. In addition to leading a defensive unit that has recorded three shutouts and has held its opponents to 17 goals in the last 13 games, Dodge scored two goals and had four points.

The SUNY New Paltz men’s soccer team is 12-10 this season and reached the semifinals of the SUNYAC Tournament. The Hawks will hope to be a part of next week’s Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Upstate New York Tournament. SUNY New Paltz will await the announcement of the tournament field on Monday (Nov. 8).
