NEW PALTZ — The State University of New York at New Paltz is the second largest employer in Ulster County and significantly impacts the region’s economy. Spending by the college, its employees, students and campus visitors brings hundreds of millions of additional dollars into the community, the Hudson Valley and New York state each year.
Join New Paltz President Steven Poskanzer this fall for one of a number of scheduled events where he will present findings of the college’s just-completed economic impact study, titled “SUNY New Paltz: Making an Impact.”
“SUNY New Paltz is a major economic driver in the Hudson Valley,” said Poskanzer. “We play a significant role in enriching the quality of life in the Hudson Valley — and we’re eager to expand our strong ties.”
Poskanzer will deliver a 30-minute Power Point presentation that will also show how the college’s alumni impact the region.

- 7:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, at the Ulster County Chamber of Commerce, Holiday Inn, Kingston. Cost is $10 for members with reservations and $12 for members at the door.
