SUNY New Paltz Women’s Basketball Team Loses 71-51 to Manhattanville

PURCHASE, NY — Senior Nicole Terzian (Bronx, NY) went 5-5 from the field and 3-3 from three-point range and scored a game-high 13 points while junior Beth Hickey (Dobbs Ferry, NY) chipped in with 12 points to lead Manhattanville to a 71-51 victory over SUNY New Paltz this evening.

The Valiants (2-1) scored the first seven points of the game and never looked back as they held a 38-18 halftime advantage. Manhattanville led by as many as 31 points in the second half before winning by the final margin of 20 points.

The Hawks (1-2) were led by freshman Kerri Kelty (Valley Stream, NY) who scored a team-high nine points and pulled down four rebounds. Freshman Sandra Glazewski (Dobbs Ferry, NY) notched eight points and grabbed five rebounds.

New Paltz returns to the court in their home opener against State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) rival Oneonta State on Tuesday (Dec. 2) at 6:00 pm.
