Fenton and Fliegel Represent New Paltz on All-SUNYAC Women’s Soccer Team

NEW PALTZ, NY — Junior Maggie Fenton (East Meadow, NY — East Meadow HS) and freshman Alison Fliegel (New Hyde Park, NY — New Hyde Park HS) were named to this year’s All-SUNYAC women’s soccer team.

Fenton started all 18 games in goal for the Hawks, logged 1,661 minutes, and recorded four shutouts to earn honorable mention honors. She was third in the SUNYAC in saves with 145 and finished the year with a 2.82 goals-against-average and a .736 save percentage.

Fliegel, a midfielder, was a second team selection. She started all 18 games and was the Hawks top offensive threat with a team-high 11 points on five goals and one assist. Fliegel started the year strong scoring a goal in four of the Hawks first five games. She also racked up three goals against conference opponents.

The SUNY New Paltz women’s soccer team went 2-2-1 in their last five games to finish the year with a 3-13-2 record. The Hawks were 1-9 in SUNYAC play.
