NEW PALTZ, NY — SUNY New Paltz seniors Lindsay Dakin (Andover, CT) and Maura McShane (East Rockaway, NY) were named to the All- Tournament Team at the Mount Saint Mary Tip-Off Classic.
New Paltz finished second in the tournament after dropping a 57-44 decision to 23rd ranked Mount Saint Mary in the championship game on Saturday (Nov. 22). The Hawks earned a spot in the title game following a 98-38 win over Brooklyn College the night before.
Dakin averaged 4.5 points, and 3.5 rebounds per game in the two-day tournament. She had four points, three rebounds and five steals in the Hawks opening round win over Brooklyn College.
McShane averaged 6.0 points per game and was 6-of-12 from the field in the tournament. She also led New Paltz on the defensive side of the ball with 10 steals in two games.
New Paltz (1-1) will take on Manhattanville in a 7:00 p.m. road contest on Tuesday (Nov. 25).
