NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz field hockey team had three players named to the 2003 State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) All-Conference Team this afternoon. Seniors Allison and Lisa Taub (Greenlawn, NY) and Kelly Anderson (Kingston, NY) all earned second team honors.

Allison Taub, a defender, has helped solidify a young defensive unit and provided an offensive spark with three points on one goal and one assist. She scored the game-winning goal in a 4-1 win over SUNYAC rival Oswego on October 18th. Her lone assist came in the 4-1 loss to William Paterson on October 11th.

Lisa Taub, a midfielder, has been an offensive force for Hawks throughout the season and is second on the team in scoring with 11 points on five goals and one assist. She notched both New Paltz goals in a 7-2 loss to Manhattanville on October 15th and scored the game-winner in the 2-0 shutout victory over Wells on October 4th.

Anderson, a defender and co-captain, has been a leader of the defensive unit all season and contributed on the offensive end with three points on a goal and an assist. She recorded all three points in victory over Oswego. Anderson was also an all-league selection as a freshman forward in 2000.

New Paltz, 4-11, has established a single-season record for victories. The Hawks will finish the season with home games against Misericordia (Oct. 29) and Elmira (Nov. 1).
