SUNY New Paltz Men’s Soccer Team Shutout by Brockport, 1-0

BROCKPORT, NY — Anthony Jaworski (Long Island, NY) scored at the 47:40 mark off an assist from Greg Finch (Bath, NY) to give the SUNY Brockport men’s soccer team a 1-0 victory over SUNY New Paltz.

New Paltz (2-5-1, 1-3) dominated the game on both the offensive and defensive ends of the field but weren’t able to put a shot past Golden Eagles goaltender Shane Sutton (Honeoye Falls, NY). The Hawks fired off nine shots on Sutton while the defense limited Brockport (5-4-0, 3-1) to just three shots.

New Paltz goaltender Brendan Morris (Hopewell Junction, NY) made two saves and Sutton stopped nine shots.

New Paltz will play their second home game of the season when they host SUNYAC opponent Fredonia on Friday, October 3 at 4:00 pm.
