NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz Hawks women s tennis team won their season opener on the road, 8-1, over SUNYAC rival SUNY- Potsdam.
The Hawks won two of the three doubles matches and all six singles matches. Juniors Kerry Farrell (Rockville Centre, NY), Amanda Rosario (Bronx, NY), Amie Larson (Port Jervis, NY), and Jessica Smith (Newport News, VA) and freshman Jen Larson (Port Jervis, NY) all won in straight sets.
New Paltz returns to the court at SUNYAC foe Plattsburgh on Sunday, September 7 at 11:00 am.
