NEW PALTZ, NY – — Freshman Franchesca Rodriguez (Schenectady, NY) made an immediate impact for the SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team last weekend earning all-tournament team honors at the Skidmore Early Bird Tournament on August 30.
In three matches, the 5-8 right side hitter played in 10 of the Hawks’ 11 games and averaged 2.8 digs and 1.0 blocks per game. Her finest effort of the tournament came in a 3-2 loss to Swarthmore where she registered six kills, 20 digs, three service aces, and three and a half blocks.
The SUNY New Paltz women’s volleyball team, 0-3, will look for their first win of the year on Wednesday (Sept. 3) against Stevens Tech at 7:00 p.m. in Hoboken, New Jersey.
