Hodgson Named Sports Information Intern

NEW PALTZ, NY — Chris Hodgson, a native of Milltown, NJ, has been named Sports Information Intern at the State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz. Hodgson will be responsible for assisting the Sports Information Director with all activities related to publicizing the schools 16-sport intercollegiate varsity program.

Prior to his arrival at SUNY New Paltz, Hodgson was the Sports Information Intern at the College of Mount Saint Vincent in Riverdale, NY where he was involved in all facets of the Sports Information Office as well as being an assistant coach on the women’s soccer team.

Hodgson has also worked in the areas of compliance and media relations at the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) in Edison, NJ. As a media relations fellow, his main focus was men’s ice hockey where he developed and designed the 2000-2001 MAAC Men’s Ice Hockey Media Guide. In addition, he was responsible for publicizing men’s ice hockey, women’s volleyball, and men’s and women’s lacrosse.

Hodgson earned his bachelor’s degree in health science from Lock Haven University in 1999 and anticipates earning his master’s degree in sports management from Old Dominion University in 2003.
