Thyberg and Mooore Claim ECAC Recognition

CAMBRIDGE, MA – — Junior Adam Thyberg (Blue Point, NY) and sophomore Josh Moore (Woodburne, NY) each earned All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) honors at the 2003 Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

Thyberg finished tied for third with Justin Lenzo of Richard Stockton in the pole vault with a mark 4.34 meters.

Moore, the 2003 SUNYAC Indoor Shot Put Champion, added All-ECAC accolades to his resume with a throw of 14.53 meters and an eighth place finish.

On the first day of competition, senior Bryan Lundy (Stormville, NY) posted an NCAA provisional mark of 57.98 meters and finished fourth and was an All-ECAC honoree as well.

Freshman Andrew Hunsinger (Queensbury, NY) was 18th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.67.

New Paltz finished the meet with 11.5 points and came in 25th.

In addition to the ninth place performance by freshman Jennifer Hutchinson (Queesnbury, NY)on the first day of competition, freshman Musu Jackson-Buckner (Buffalo, NY) was 10th in the 200 meter dash with a time of 25.93.

Senior Andrea Drayss (Island Park, NY) finished 19th in the shot put with a throw of 10.64 meters.

The women’s squad did not register any points.
