Recent Acquisitions 2003

The expansion of the museum’s permanent collection depends on a large part on the generosity of donors. The following individuals have recently made significant contributions:

Elizabeth Ajay, wife of noted artist Abe Ajay, donated an untitled wood and mixed media construction piece via the Babcock Galleries in New York City.

Former SUNY New Paltz art history professor Jaimee Uhlenbrock donated 5 etchings by African American artist Henry W. Bannarn and 3 lithographs by Dewey Albinson.

John Meyer, noted regional watercolorist, donated one of his untitled, abstract landscape watercolors.

Albert Shahinian of Albert Shahinian Fine Art of Poughkeepsie, New York, gave an oil on linen painting titled “Flood” by Christie Scheele.

Scott McMahon contributed one of his limited edition artist books titled “Suspended Passages.”

Anne Gorrick donated a copy of a collaborative artists’ book, ” “Swan, the ice, ” she said”, which she did with artist Cynthia Winika.
