NEW PALTZ, NY — Halfmoon’s Chris Ganje collected team Most Valuable Player honors at the SUNY New Paltz Athletic Banquet May 7th.
The sophomore outside hitter led the New Paltz men’s volleyball team this season in kills (337), hitting percentage (.286), and service aces (26).
Ganje had double-double performances in back-to-back wins over MIT (3-2) and East Stroudsburg (3-2). Against MIT, he recorded a season-high 30 kills and 11 digs and four days later registered 14 kills and 11 digs against ESU.
The New Paltz men’s volleyball team finished the 2003 season with a 3-23 record.
