Men’s Tennis Moves To 9-4 With Win Over Bard

NEW PALTZ, NY — The SUNY New Paltz men’s tennis team ran its record to 9-4 on the season today with a 6-1 win over Bard College.

The Hawks lost just three total games in five singles victories against the Raptors (6-1).

Brad Breakstone (Mount Kisco, NY), Nick Finger (Glenmont, NY), and Josh Greenspan (North Babylon, NY) each picked up their eighth win of the season with relative ease. Breakstone and Finger won 6-0, 6-0, and Greenspan dropped only one game in his 6-1, 6-0 victory.

Bobby Calise (East Islip, NY) moved to 11-1 on the season with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Biek Satasut and Jason Letts (Colebrook, NH) got his fourth win with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Mike Morini.

New Paltz will battle Ramapo Friday at 4:00 p.m. and Steven’s Tech Saturday at 12:00 p.m. in their season finale.

Doubles: #1 Breakstone/Palmenteri (NP) defeated Rubenstein/Satasut (B) 8-4. #2 Calise/Finger (NP) defeated Schulze/John (B) 8-3. #3 Letts/Jesse Brazil (NP) defeated Daniels/Morini (B) 8-1.
