Hawks Drop Lehman For Second Win

BRONX, NY — New Paltz saw their four-game losing streak broken Tuesday night with a 65-57 victory on the road over Lehman College.

The Hawks had lost in consecutive games to Baruch (87-67), NYU (48-46), Fredonia (78-76), and Buffalo State (74-64) but recovered against Lehman to end the semester on a winning note. The Hawks went into the locker room up nine 29-20 and held on for the eight-point win.

Joe Bell (Albany, NY) led New Paltz with 18 points on the night. Steve Ott (New Paltz, NY) chipped in with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Lehman’s Edgar Lugo (Bronx, NY) shot 11 of 19 for 26 points to lead all scorers.

New Paltz enters the break with a 2-5 overall record and an 0-2 SUNYAC record. Lehman drops to 2-4.
