‘On Campus @ SUNY New Paltz’ features Language Immersion Program on July 18 show

NEW PALTZ — “On Campus @ SUNY New Paltz,” a 30-minute television show that airs weekly on Time Warner Cable’s channel 6, will feature the history and politics of the Language Immersion Program in its next episode on Thursday, July 18.

Faculty member Abigail Robin will host the show, which airs on Time-Warner Cable channel 6 at 9 p.m. Her guests will be director and founder of the Language Immersion Program, Henry Urbanski, and Instructor Reginald Rinder. The program has been a staple at SUNY New Paltz since 1981.

“On Campus @ SUNY New Paltz” began in 1997 and is a production of United Media Artists, a group of staff, mostly from Instructional Media Services, and students who volunteer their talents. The show focuses on news and events of the campus community and, over the years, has featured many faculty and student research projects and activities.

The show can be seen in the following communities on Thursday evenings: New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, Kingston, Middletown, Port Jervis, Goshen, Pine Bush, Kerhonkson, Ellenville, West Point, Pleasant Valley, Rosendale, Red Hook, Rhinebeck, Saugerties, Tannersville, Woodstock, Port Ewen, Hurley and all of Sullivan County.
