FREDERICKSBERG, VA — The men and women’s track and field team competed in the Mary Washington Battleground Invitational Friday and Saturday in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
For the men, Phil Goodwin (Rochester, NY) placed 5th in the men’s 1500 meters with a time of 4:06.00. Adam Thyberg (Bluepoint, NY) was 8th in the 400-meter hurdles and 4th in the men’s pole vault clearing 12 feet.
On the women’s side, Andrea Drayss (Island Park, NY) came in 2nd in the shot put with a throw of 38 feet, 4.75 inches, and Rebecca Demeri (Wantagh, NY) was 4th in the women’s 3000 meters with a time of 11:46.80. Natasha Dudar (New Paltz, NY) placed 8th in the women’s pole vault clearing 7 feet, 6 inches, and 6th in the long jump with a jump of 15 feet, 7 inches.
Track and field next competes Saturday at Binghamton.
