Women’s Lacrosse Moves Back on Campus

NEW PALTZ — The State University of New York at New Paltz women’s lacrosse team is moving their playing field back on campus. After a two-year stint off campus, having to play all of their home games at Dietz Stadium in Kingston, NY, the Hawks are looking forward to coming home.

Having the team play on campus would give Coach Mackay her first opportunity to coach in front of a home crowd without traveling. “We are very excited to have women’s lacrosse back on campus. This will be a great opportunity for the campus community to see what we are all about,” said Coach Mackay.

Last year’s leading scorer, Senior, Kate Sharp (Mineola, NY) playing in the attack position stated ” I’m very excited to finally being playing our home games on campus this season.”

“Returning to campus will give our team a chance to prove to the SUNY New Paltz community how much progress the women’s lacrosse program has made in the past few seasons,” said two year starter Adrian Grasso (Oceanside, NY).

The SUNY New Paltz women’s lacrosse team kicks off their first home appearance Friday, March 29th at 4:00 p.m.
