NEW PALTZ — New Paltz women’s basketball lost to Hunter Friday night at Elting Gymnasium by a final score of 69-51. The loss drops the Hawks’ record to 4-17 on the season.
The Lady Hawks trailed by just two points at the half 30-28 but the Hawks from Hunter ran away in the second half outscoring New Paltz by sixteen points. Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) oaced New Paltz with 20 points while Lindsay Dakin (Andover, CT) had 12 and Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) added 10.
Women’s basketball will return to action Saturday at Elting Gym against Cortland beginning at 6:00.
