Men’s Volleyball Falls to East Stroudsburg

NEW PALTZ — The New Paltz men’s volleyball team let one slip away Tuesday night at Elting Gymnasium losing to East Stroudsburg 3-2 after leading 2 games to 0.

The Hawks jumped out to the 2-0 lead taking the first two games 30-25 and 30-24. New Paltz looked to be in complete command of the match but the Warriors took the final three games 37-35, 30-25, and 15-11 to secure the win.

Beau Warren (Canandaigua, NY) had 18 kills, 10 blocks, and 10 digs for New Paltz. Sean Riley (Port Jefferson, NY) had 13 kills, and 12 blocks, Jason Bateman (Brewerton, NY) had 14 kills and 8 digs, and Jim Cramer (New Oxford, PA) had 57 assists, 4 blocks, 4 kills, and 6 digs.

Men’s volleyball will face Mt. St. Vincent this Friday at Elting Gymnasium beginning at 7:00pm.
