PATCHOGUE — The New Paltz women’s basketball team got their first win of the season Tuesday defeating St. Joseph’s College 75- 59. Their season record now stands at 1-3.
New Paltz broke the game open in the second half after a close opening half for the 16-point victory. Silver Williams (Newburgh, NY) led the Hawks in scoring finishing with 14 points and shooting 7 for 8 from the field. Kim Weigel (Whitestone, NY) and Stephanie Russo (Northport, NY) each added 12 points.
The women’s team returns to action this Saturday for their home opener against Ithaca at 2:00.
