49 SUNY New Paltz Resnick Scholars Recognized at Luncheon

NEW PALTZ — On Thursday, Oct. 25, the State University of New York at New Paltz held a luncheon to honor the recipients of Resnick Scholarships for the 2001-2002 school year, and the generous philanthropists who make these scholarships possible, long-time supporters, Mildred and Louis Resnick of Ellenville.

Louis Resnick made the presentations to the recipients of five different Resnick Scholarships. The scholarships went to 49 students, and target a variety of academic areas: nursing, fine and performing arts, humanities and engineering.

At the luncheon, the master of ceremonies was Eileen Bastien, development associate. David Eaton, vice president of enrollment, gave welcoming and closing remarks. The guest speaker was Myrna Jargowsky, daughter of the Resnicks.
