ONEONTA — The New Paltz Women’s Volleyball Team went 1-4 this weekend in Oneonta at SUNYAC Pool Play. The Hawks lost to Plattsburgh (28-30, 30-25, 17-30, 20-30) and Oneonta (26- 30, 17-30, 27-30) on Friday but rebounded on Saturday for a victory over Utica/Rome (30-23, 30-27, 30-18). The Hawks lost their remaining two matches on Saturday to Cortland (12-30, 22-30, 14-30) and Potsdam (22-30, 28-30, 30-32).
Over the weekend, Senior Crystal Smith (Westhampton, NY) had 46 kills, 44 digs, 10 aces, and 2 blocks, Sophomore Jennifer Hollis (Livingston, NJ) had 82 assists, 30 digs, 17 kills, 7 aces, and 5 blocks, Sophomore Denee Miggins (Kingston, NY) had 51 digs, 7 aces, 3 kills, and 2 assists, and Freshman Lisa Mason (Camillus, NY) had 42 digs, 18 aces, and 2 kills.
