NEW PALTZ — Women’s Volleyball closed out their season Wednesday night with a victory over Russell Sage in three straight games (30-24, 30-24, 30-16) making their overall record for the year 9-23.
In the match, Crystal Smith (Westhampton, NY) had 9 kills and 10 digs, Giselle Medina (Brentwood, NY) had 23 assists, 7 digs, and 1 kill, Caroline Kuncken (Wayne, NJ) had 6 kills, 5 digs, and 3 aces, and Denee Miggins (Kingston, NY) had 5 digs and 3 aces.
Wednesday night marked the end of collegiate careers for Seniors Gisselle Medina, Evelyn Paredes (Bronx, NY) and Crystal Smith.
Medina finishes her four-year career with 2,990 assists, 821 digs, 106 kills, and 74 aces in 339 games. Paredes ends her three-year career with 611 digs, 541 kills, 402 blocks, and 48 aces in 335 games. Smith finishes her two-year career with 596 kills, 795 digs, and 65 aces in 218 games.
