NEW PALTZ — The Women’s Tennis Team closed out their season Sunday defeating Steven’s Tech 5-4. The victory gave the Hawks a 12-5 final record which is the best record by a women’s tennis team in school history.
In singles, Barbara Slovak (Harriman, NY) won in her final collegiate match 6-7, 6-4, 7-5, Kerry Farrell (Rockville Centre, NY) won 6-1, 6-1 and Amie Larson (Port Jervis, NY) won 6-1, 6-1. In doubles, Farrell and Slovak were winners 8- 4 and Megan Crevoiserat (Levittown, NY) and Jessica Smith (Oneida, NY) won their match 8-2.
