Women’s Swimming/Diving Finishes Tied for 1st

NEW PALTZ — The Women’s Swim Team finished tied for 1st with Oswego at the Long and Short Relays hosted by New Paltz on Saturday. New Paltz and Oswego finished with 50 points followed by Potsdam (18), Plattsburgh (17), Skidmore (10), and Mt. St. Mary (5).

New Paltz finished first in five out of ten of the events. In the 3×200 breast relay, Erin Lalor (Richmond Hill), Mallory Grempel (Babylon, NY), and Lauren Saracene (Penfield, NY) won with a time of 8:02.41. In the 3×200 back relay, Christine Foster (E. Patchogue, NY), Danielle Lindner (Wantagh, NY), and Molly Soule (Clinton, NY) won with a time of 7:04.53. In the 3×200 individual medley, Foster, Lalor, and Jaime Parrotte (Johnson City, NY) won with a time of 7:04.53. Lindner, Soule, Foster, and Andrea Ditter (New Paltz, NY) were winners in the 4×50 backstroke and Saracene, Parrotte, Emily Maldonado (Shelton, CT), and Lauren Ruane (Seldin, NY) won the 4×50 butterfly.
