Vassar Beats Men’s Soccer in OT

POUGHKEEPSIE — Joe Petrucelli scored on Vassar’s first shot on goal of the game 6:08 into the first overtime period to lift the Brewers past New Paltz 1-0. The Hawks’ record slips to 6-10 on the season.

New Paltz had several chances to put the ball away in the second half and the overtime period but were unable to convert. Goalkeeper Alex Parra made several tough saves in the match finishing with a total of eight.

New Paltz returns to action this weekend when they travel to Elmira on Saturday. The Hawks then play their final game of the season on Tuesday at home against Skidmore.
