Cross Country Places 11th at NYU

NEW PALTZ — At the Third Annual New York University Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, the New Paltz Men’s Team placed 11th out of 43 teams competing. New Paltz totaled 327 points, 34 points behind 10th place Rochester and 41 points behind 9th place Christopher Newport. Chris Tuttle (Poughquag, NY) led the way for the Hawks finishing 28th in the 8,000 meter run with a time of 27:32.57. In the Women’s 5,000 meter run, the Hawks were led by Jean Thompson (Bucksport, ME) who finished the race 207th with a time of 24:12.31.

Cross Country returns to action Saturday when they travel to Oneonta.
