Paulinski Lone Tennis Winner Against Vassar

POUGHKEEPSIE — Junior captain Ed Paulinski provided SUNY New Paltz’s lone win at first singles as the Hawks fell to local rival Vassar College, 8-1, on Wednesday afternoon.

Paulinski defeated Jake Maslikowski, 6-2, 6-3, at first singles, and narrowly missed making it four straight first doubles wins. He and doubles partner Andrew Lehr lost 9-7 to the Vassar tandem of Maslikowski and Aaron Leffler.

New Paltz (1-4) returns home to host the City College of New York tomorrow at 3:30 p.m.
