NEW PALTZ –The new Business Institute of the SUNY New Paltz School of Business offers business leaders opportunities to participate in a number of programs, seminars, workshops, and classes designed to enhance their business and leadership skills. In announcing the establishment of the Business Institute, Dean Hadi Salavitabar said, “The Business Institute will further connect the Hudson Valley business community to the university. We are a vital resource to regional businesses and their leaders.”
Working together, the School of Business Advisory Council, faculty, and staff created the Business Institute in order to make the School’s skills, knowledge, and expertise available to the Hudson Valley business community. Business Advisory Chairperson, Mr. Taylor Thompson said of the Business Institute, “It provides the opportunity for the Business School to reach out to the entire business community with timely programs, workshops, and seminars.”
Services offered by the Business Institute include Consulting, Seminars, and the Executive Roundtable, a membership series for top executives that affords a private and confidential setting to discuss issues unique to top decision makers, accesses the expertise of other top leaders in industry and business to creatively solve common problems, and provides members with a social networking opportunity. “This dynamic process has helped thousands of executives across the nation make better decisions, improve leadership and management skills, and alleviate the sense of isolation often experienced by chief decision makers,” noted Dean Salavitabar, “I am pleased that the Business Institute focused on the Executive Roundtable as its premier program.”
Membership to the Executive Roundtable costs $1650.00 annually for 1 half day session and 3 full day sessions, and first meets on April 20, 2001 in the 9th floor conference room of the Haggarty Administration Building at SUNY New Paltz. The Business Institute limits the number of memberships, so applications should be made
prior to April 17, 2001. The Executive Roundtable will be facilitated by Professor Rief Kanan, an experienced and successful leader, business person, and educator.
