Music of The Chinese Performing Arts of North America Featured at SUNY New Paltz

NEW PALTZ — On Tuesday, February 27, 2001 the Chinese Performing Arts of North America visits SUNY New Paltz to presents a lecture/demonstration and evening performance. The lecture/demonstration begins at 12:30 in the Nadia and Max Shepard Recital Hall, located in College Hall. The performance begins at 8:00 PM in the Julien J. Studley Theatre. Both events are free and open to all.

The Chinese Performing Arts of North America is comprises some of the finest Chinese instrument players in the world. This extraordinary music group will perform Chinese court music, traditional pieces, and newly composed works. In conjunction with the Department of Music, the musicians of the Chinese Performing Arts will give a master class on Chinese instruments and Chinese music at 12:30 in the Nadia and Max Shepard Recital Hall. This masterclass is open to the public at no charge.
