Hawks Win In Four

FLUSHING — Otto Tannure had 10 kills and eight digs to lead SUNY New Paltz to its seventh straight men’s volleyball victory, 30-17, 30-22, 27-30, 31-29, over Queens College on Tuesday night.

The (12-3) Hawks, which remain ranked eighth in Division III, won for the 12th time in their last 13 matches.

Robert Manosca (36 assists, 11 digs) notched his third straight double-double, while Sean Riley had 18 kills, five digs and six blocks for the Hawks.

New Paltz returns home to face local rival Vassar, which is ranked third nationally, at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Elting Gymnasium. The Hawks beat the Brewers in five games (28-30, 30-28, 24-30, 30-22, 15-12) on Jan. 23 at Kenyon Hall.
