Hawks Lose Men’s Basketball Contest

BUFFALO — SUNY New Paltz was outscored by just three points in the second half, but couldn’t overcome a 13-point halftime deficit, as it dropped its fourth straight men’s basketball game, 58-42, to Buffalo State at the Sports Arena.

Mac Cavanaugh (13 points, three three-pointers) and Pat Stirk (12 points, six rebounds, three steals) reached double figures for the Hawks, now 5-13 overall and 4-10 in conference play.

New Paltz completes its road trip tomorrow with a 4 p.m. contest at Fredonia.
