Hawk Volleyballers Win Again

NEW PALTZ — SUNY New Paltz won for the 10th time in its last 11 men’s volleyball matches, 31-29, 26-30, 30-27, 30-26 over Stevens Tech on Wednesday night at Elting Gymnasium.

New Paltz (10-3), which continues to be ranked eighth in Division III, got strong play from senior setter Robert Manosca (12 kills, 15 digs, 25 assists), who recorded his second triple-double of the season. He remains the only collegiate player in any of the three NCAA divisions to have a triple-double this season.

Meanwhile, Beau Warren (12 kills, 35 assists, six digs, three blocks), Christopher Wright (18 kills, three service aces, two blocks) and Sean Riley (16 kills, five blocks, two service aces) continued their stellar play for the Hawks. The loss drops Stevens Tech, which is ranked 15th nationally, to 4-4.

The Hawks play at Division II East Stroudsburg (3-2) at 7 p.m. on Thursday night.
