Women’s Basketball Team Falls To Bengals

NEW PALTZ — Despite 16 rebounds, eight points, five blocks and four steals from sophomore center Zebi Williams, New Paltz still fell to Buffalo State, 64-51, to close the first semester on Saturday afternoon at Elting Gymnasium.

New Paltz (3-4 overall, 2-3 SUNYAC) was outscored 33-24 in the second half by the (6-2 overall, 4-2 SUNYAC) Bengals, who led the Hawks by just four points at halftime.

Lindsay Dakin was the closest Hawk to double figures, with nine points, but four others scored at least six points in the contest. Buffalo State forward Chrissy Milleville, meanwhile, came off the bench to score a game-high 14 points.

New Paltz returns to action on January 5, when its travels to Plattsburgh for a 6 p.m. SUNYAC contest.
