Women’s Basketball Falls To Oneonta

NEW PALTZ — New Paltz shot just 36 percent in the second half to balloon a seven-point halftime deficit to a 17-point (70-53) loss to Oneonta on Tuesday night at Elting Gymnasium.

Zebi Williams (11 points, 11 rebounds, four blocks) had her fourth double-double in five contests for New Paltz (2-3 overall, 1-2 SUNYAC), while Lisa Burriss (12 points, three steals) and Britni Bishop (10 points, six assists) also reached double figures.

Patti Schroh (nine rebounds, four steals) had 16 points to lead four Oneonta players in double figures. The (5-1 overall, 3-1 SUNYAC) Red Dragons’ only loss this season came to defending conference champion Cortland, 70-61, on November 28.
