Women’s Basketball Evens Record With Win At Geneseo

GENESEO — New Paltz rebounded from a poor shooting night Friday to upset perennial SUNYAC contender Geneseo, 75-70, on Saturday afternoon at the Knights’ Kuhl Gymnasium.

The (2-2 overall, 1-1 SUNYAC) Hawks shot a stellar 49 percent, while limiting the Knights to less than 30 percent accuracy from the field. The trio of Zebi Williams (12 rebounds, three steals), Britni Bishop (five rebounds, five assists) and Lindsay Dakin (six rebounds, two assists) once again led the way, scoring 18, 17 and 11 points, respectively.

Becky Rice led Geneseo (1-2 overall, 1-2 SUNYAC) with 17 points and three steals.

New Paltz returns home to face Oneonta on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
