GENESEO — Unbeaten Geneseo increased a 15-point halftime advantage to pull away for an 83-63 win over New Paltz in SUNYAC men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon.
Senior forward Robert Jones had 15 points for New Paltz (1-4 overall, 0-2 SUNYAC), which shot just 40 percent for the game. Meanwhile, Rick Doherty had a game-high 18 points and Nick Jungbluth added 17 for the (3-0 overall, 3-0 SUNYAC) Knights.
After five contests, New Paltz finally will have its home opener at 8 p.m. on Tuesday night against SUNYAC rival Oneonta.
