CORTLAND — SUNY New Paltz fell to 0-3 on the young season with a 15-3, 15-12, 15-4 loss to York (Pa.) College on Saturday afternoon at the Cortland Red Dragon Women’s Volleyball Invitational.
Junior transfer Crystal Smith led New Paltz in the losing effort with 20 digs and five kills, while freshman setter Wendy Del Orbe added 15 assists and 11 digs. With the victory, York evens its record at 2-2.
New Paltz returns home to host local rival Vassar at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at Elting Gymnasium.
