Women’s Lacrosse Overwhelms Centenary

KINGSTON — Jessica Aiken and Katie Sharp each scored three goals to help SUNY New Paltz cruise past Centenary (NJ) College, 16-2, in women’s lacrosse at Kingston’s Dietz Stadium. Jacqueline Bunzel added two goals and eight others scored once, as the Hawks improved their season record to 2-11, with one match remaining. New Paltz goalkeeper Adrian Grasso needed just four saves to record her fourth career victory.

Kathy Theodore scored once in each half for the (0-8) Cyclones, while goalkeeper Debbie Tait made 17 saves in a losing effort.

New Paltz closes its third women’s lacrosse season with a 4 p.m. match on Thursday at Elmira.
