Women’s Lacrosse Loses At Elmira

ELMIRA — Leading scorer Katie Sharp had three goals and Erin Scherf (two goals) and Jacqueline Bunzel (one goal) also scored, but New Paltz still fell short, 10-6, at Elmira College on Thursday.

Sharp, a sophomore, now has 37 points for her career — including 27 points this season — to rank second on New Paltz’s career scoring list.

Adrian Grasso made 24 saves in a losing effort, as New Paltz falls to 2-12. Alexis Wagner and Emily Weber, meanwhile, had three goals each to lead the Soaring Eagles.

New Paltz closes the season on Monday with a 4 p.m. match at Utica College.
