NEW PALTZ, NEW YORK — The SUNY New Paltz Symphonic Band will present a fall concert at Julien J. Studley Theatre on Tuesday, November 16th at 8:00 p.m. Selected musicians from Wallkill Senior High School, and professional musicians perform alongside the talented student members of the College’s Symphonic Band.
William McCann conducts a program that includes the final movement of “Symphony No. 9, The New World” by Antonin Dvorák, “Variations on an American hymn tune” by William Harbison, a movement from “Symphony No. 6, The Pathetique” by Tchaikowsky, and selections from the broadway musical “Man of La Mancha” by Mitch Leigh.
Tickets to the Symphonic Band concert are $5 adults, $4 senior citizens and SUNY staff, and $3 students. They are available at the door, beginning at 7 p.m. For additional information please call 914-257-3904.
