CORTLAND — Freshman Phil Goodwin finished eighth, just 57 seconds off Mike Heitzenrater’s winning time of 25:49 to earn All-SUNYAC Second Team honors, and lead New Paltz to a sixth place team finish at the 1999 SUNYAC Championship Meet at Cortland on Saturday.
Also placing for the Hawks were Matt Brown (18th, 27:20), Corey Crawford (35th, 28:03), Kevin Harrison (62nd, 29:05), Shaun Roth (69th, 29:48) and Greg Sautner (71st, 29:59).
New Paltz is at the ECAC Meet in Boston two weeks from Sunday.
